La marca dijo que este vehículo representa la dirección que está tomando el diseño de la marca y afirmó que el nuevo Track’ster “es la representación más extrema en prestaciones del Kia Soul, procedente del segmento B”.

El fabricante explicó que el Soul fue creado originalmente en el Estudio California, donde también fue el lugar donde se creó el prototipo descapotable Soul’ster.

Aunque muy centrado en las nuevas tecnologías, sobre todo en tren de potencia avanzada y conectividad de próxima generación, el concepto NS4 es también un concepto de diseño de un nuevo estilo de dirección de Toyota.

El plug-in híbrido de NS4 (PIH) tiene un sistema de propulsión que busca mejorar todos los aspectos de los sistemas de PIH mediante la reducción de tamaño de los componentes y el peso. El pequeño biplaza tiene unas medidas de 3547/1506/1701mm (L, W, H). Cuenta con una trampilla que se abre eléctricamente y se retrae hacia el interior para ofrecer un espacio de 35 pulgadas (900 mm) el área de carga que puede almacenar y recargar dos ebikes inteligentes con un sistema incorporado en la estación de acoplamiento.

Está impulsado por motor de 55 kW (75 CV) magneto-motor eléctrico, el mismo utilizado en el smart fortwo electric drive, y produce 130 Nm (96 lb-pie) de torque. La velocidad máxima supera los 120 km / h (75 mph) y la batería de iones de litio tiene una capacidad de 17,6 kWh.

This model, which builds on the smart forspeed and smart forvision concepts presented in 2011, will celebrate its world premiere at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit (14 – 22 January 2012). With its exterior dimensions (length/width/height: 3547/1506/1701 mm) it could almost go unnoticed on the loading area of a typical pickup, and it also anything but ordinary under the body.

Like car2go, the globally successful car sharing initiative from smart for more flexibility in city traffic, the smart for-us is a mobility concept. Just like the smart fortwo, which has enjoyed success around the world, it has ample room for two people, but it also has space behind for two smart ebikes, which can charge their batteries on the cargo area during the journey. From a trip into town to an outing to nearby nature reserve – the smart for-us safely transports two people and two electric bikes without producing any emissions. The ebikes on the cargo area become range extenders in two respects: thanks to the docking station on the cargo area of the smart for-us their batteries are always charged, and smart for-us drivers can also reach destinations that are out of bounds for cars – for example traffic-calmed zones in the city or isolated park trails.

The exterior: sassy and robust with extremely short overhangs

Even the first glance at the study shows that this smart can do more – yet it remains true to itself. It has a surprising, sassy and robust appearance – but thanks to the visible tridion safety cell and a number of other features it is typically smart. Furthermore, both the interior and the exterior feature a number of charming details which show that the smart designers devoted themselves to the project with the joie de vivre typical of the brand.

Compared with the series-produced fortwo the smart for-us makes a powerful statement and its appearance plays with the martial image of conventional mega-pickups. Nevertheless, it greets the viewer with a friendly yet assertive face. It features convex and sensuously shaped body surfaces. The large brand emblem is proudly sported on the grille, and the front has a pronounced three-dimensional design with an underride guard finishing off the lower part of the front end.

The for-us is raised by 50 millimetres as against the standard smart, and demonstrates that it is perfectly suited to off-road driving, for example to reach mountain bike terrain. In a later development stage the electric drive could be extended in the direction of a 4×4 with two front wheel hub motors.

The longer wheelbase (2480 mm/plus 613 mm) and the track that has been widened by 50 mm on each side also emphasise the robust look of the study. At the same time the extremely short overhangs at the front and rear make it exceedingly compact and provoke supporters of conventional pickups: small is beautiful – even as a pickup.

The smart for-us rolls on Michelin off-road tyres measuring 235/55 R 18. The wing nuts of the central mounts of the three-spoke wheels are an attractive detail: they fold out and then serve as a lever to release the wheel nuts.

The design of the rhombic front and tail lights is very striking and is reminiscent of the design of the smart forvision, which caused a stir at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. The outer rings illuminate the indicators and daytime running lamps with a large number of rod-shaped LEDs. The lamps seem to push outwards like arrows – like drops on the cockpit window of an aeroplane as it takes off. The tail lights can even be opened and provide stowage space, for example for the charging cable or drinks cans for sporty bikers.

The tailboard at the rear of the smart for-us is electrically driven. Remote control or touching the integrated touchpad retracts the cargo floor including tailboard by 280 mm, and the tailgate then slides down in a parallel position. The cargo on the 900 mm cargo area is then extremely easy to access.

The high-gloss white metallic paintwork of the smart for-us with the tridion cell in a grey textured finish also builds a bridge to the smart forspeed presented at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, and to the smart ebike. On the other hand, the honeycomb structure of the air inlets takes up an aspect of the smart forvision, which attracted lots of attention at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. The subtle colour accents in a warm yellow establish a further visual link to the interior.

The interior: stylish, uncomplicated and highly functional

Sleek, taut surfaces in mother-of-pearl white combined with precisely designed technical functional elements in brushed aluminium – the interior is characterised by contrasts. The white metallised leather establishes a link to the instrument panel, which in turn is related to the body. The headrests featuring metallic leather are a reference to the matt-finish textured paint of the tridion safety cell and – in line with the clean design – they largely dispense with seams. Yellow adds highlights to the interior, for example on the seat belts and seat covers. Leather door trim provides a further high-quality contrast.

Like in the smart forvision, the whole cockpit boasts aerodynamic styling for interior ventilation. The control and display elements are oriented to the driver. Just as the cockpit module divides the instrument panel, the two-spoke steering wheel is open at the top. In place of a conventional rear-view mirror the smart for-us features a smartphone accommodated in a holder on top of the instrument panel support. The driver can see what is happening on the road behind with the help of an integrated video camera.

Stylish, uncomplicated, highly functional and easy to individualise – the two seats in the concept car are typically smart. The seat shells, which are open in the middle, are covered with a soft fabric throw giving them a hammock-like seating feel. Practical: when the seat cover on the passenger side is removed long items can be loaded through the seat of the smart for-us.

The study has yellow seat covers with a deep embossed silver hexagon pattern indicating a progression and thus emphasising the vehicle’s dynamism. As the covers can be removed in no time at all, simple individualisation with other throws is conceivable. The seats could even be used as avant-garde seating at home or when spontaneous seating is needed outdoors.

The cargo space has two slits for the front wheels of the smart ebikes. A special docking station in the middle enables the ebikes to be charged whilst being transported on the smart for-us. And bicycle tools or other items can be accommodated in the stowage compartments on the right and left of the load space.

Electric drive: zero-local-emission driving fun

The electric drive of the smart for-us is based on the innovative drive concept of the smart fortwo electric drive, which will be launched from the spring of 2012.

Thanks to the 55 kW magneto-electric motor the smart for-us is agile and lively to drive. With 130 Newton metres of torque it boasts powerful, lag-free acceleration and it can overtake other vehicles with the greatest of ease. The maximum speed exceeds 120 km/h.

The lithium-ion battery has capacity of 17.6 kWh. When completely empty it takes a maximum of eight hours to fully charge the battery at a household socket or charging station on the electricity systems of most countries i.e. overnight.

smart ebike: urban electric mobility on two wheels

There are two smart ebikes on board the smart for-us – perfect for local-emission-free city driving. The colour of the two ebikes, which are based on the production bike to be launched by smart in the spring of 2012, has been matched to the smart for-us. Some of the components, for example the battery housing, therefore come in the highlight colour yellow.

With an unconventional design in line with the style of the brand, functions appropriate for city use and high technology standards that are demonstrated by the extremely efficient and high-performance drive package among other features, the smart ebike has an exceptional position.

High-quality components guarantee dynamic, safe and fun cycling. For example, MT4 disc brakes from Magura are fitted at the front and rear. The smart ebike also features state-of-the-art infotainment: a USB interface is a standard feature and enables various mobile end devices to be connected.

smart’s high technological standards are manifested in the extremely efficient and high-performance drive package. As a “pedelec” (Pedal Electric Cycle) the smart ebike is strictly speaking a hybrid: the electric motor – a maintenance-free and brushless rear-wheel hub motor from BionX – switches on as soon as the rider starts pedalling as with a normal bicycle. Muscle power is transmitted to the rear wheel via a durable and quiet belt drive. An integrated three-speed gear hub provides for simple gear changing.

The strengths of the ebike include its agile performance: the rider of the smart ebike decides how much power he wants the 250 watt electric motor to deliver to support his muscle power by pressing a button on the handlebar. There is a choice of four power levels with the fourth and highest level providing maximum pushing power. Depending on the power level selected and the manner of cycling a battery charge can last for more than 100 kilometres.

Acura RDX

Shown as a prototype version of the 2013 RDX, the second generation of Acura’s five-passenger crossover SUV will up the ante with a new approach to achieving both advanced performance and fuel efficiency via a new engine, transmission and all-wheel drive system.

The 2013 RDX, scheduled to launch in Spring 2012, will have as standard equipment a 3.5-liter V-6 engine that produces 273 horsepower- 33 more than the outgoing model. For even higher performance and improved fuel economy, the RDX makes use of a 6-speed automatic transmission with a new lock-up torque converter. The RDX also gets a new, lighter all-wheel-drive system that provides the required performance and safety with increased efficiency.

With anticipated EPA fuel economy ratings of 20 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway, front-wheel-drive models of the 2013 RDX are expected to offer the best fuel economy of any gasoline-powered luxury SUV in its class.

The RDX exterior incorporates a sleek, more aerodynamically efficient body, evolving RDX from a sporty, compact SUV to a more formal look with a longer, sculpted hood and styling that is more elegant and sophisticated to match the Acura philosophy of timeless, beautiful design. Production of the new RDX will move to the East Liberty, Ohio plant of Honda of America Mfg., Inc.- home to one of the four top assembly lines in North America in the J.D. El vicepresidente de Desarrollo de Productos Globales de la corporación estadounidense, Derrick Kuzak, explicó que la intención de Ford con el Fusion ha sido ofrecer “lo mejor de lo mejor” que representa la estrategia ‘One Ford’.

La marca del óvalo apuntó que este nuevo modelo se ha presentado en el Salón del Automóvil de Detroit en las series S, SE y el tope de gama Titanium. Además, cuenta con diferentes variantes de propulsión, entre las que se encuentran motores EcoBoost, mecánicas híbridas, híbridas enchufables y con el sistema de arranque y parada del motor start-stop.

Entre las principales novedades del nuevo Ford Fusion se encuentran el sistema de mantenimiento de carril, el control de crucero adaptativo, así como el asistente activo de aparcamiento o el dispositivo de alerta de ángulo muerto, entre otros elementos de equipamiento.

En 2011 ofreció los estrenos de 55 automóviles a sus cerca de 735 000 visitantes – incluyendo 35 estrenos mundiales.

Lleva el nombre del destino popular de esquí en Colorado,  Vail y según se informa es una versión modificada de la Q3. La información adicional está limitada, pero el concepto debe ser dado a conocer el 9 de enero.

Además de mencionar el Vail, Stadler confirmó los planes para construir un A2 y dijo que Audi comenzará a producir vehículos en los Estados Unidos en 2015.

De antemano precedido por el concepto de Envision, el modelo es un crossover de cinco plazas que se ranura debajo del Enclave. LOS ANGELES, Nov. 15, 2011 – Ford Mustang – the icon of American performance and style – gets even more street swagger with a new design and a list of smart features that signal even more technology in the popular pony car.

“The new Mustang is the perfect example of continuing to build on excellence. It takes the greatness of the 5.0-liter and V6 and pushes the refinement to the next level,” said Dave Pericak, Mustang chief engineer. “The car has been spot-on functionally and now we’re adding more features and technology to further improve the driver’s experience.”

More aggressive design
The new model Mustang, which goes on sale in spring 2012, offers a more aggressive design with a significantly more prominent grille. A more powerful splitter adds to that appearance. Functional heat extractors on the hood of the GT were specifically placed and designed to help move hot air out of the engine compartment and cool the engine.

“We are delivering a more distinctive and emotional design presence that celebrates the total performance of Mustang,” said Darrell Behmer, Mustang chief designer. “This latest Mustang design is very respectful of its heritage while continuing to look forward with a more powerful and modern look.”

Rocker panels running along the car are now body-color, making for a more premium appearance. The rear has been updated with a high-gloss black panel that connects the taillamps. Keeping the sequential turn signal Mustang is known for, the taillamps also deliver a smoked appearance that matches the more purposeful look up front.

Also new for Mustang design are standard high-intensity discharge (HID) headlamps on both V6 and GT cars. Signature lighting plays into the technology upgrades for 2013 as well, with two individual light-emitting diode (LED) bars accentuating the front headlamps and three LED ropes forming the iconic three-bar rear lights.

The new Mustang offers a revamped wheel lineup, ranging from the standard 17-inch wheels for V6 all the way up to 19-inch optional wheels on the GT and V6 Performance Package. With updated designs, the wheels also offer new finishes and touches for a more powerful appearance.

There are two different finishes on the 17-inch wheel – machined-aluminum and painted. Three optional V6 wheels include an 18-inch polished aluminum set, an updated 18-inch painted aluminum and a 19-inch painted wheel design, with a new theme for the V6 Performance Package.

The standard 18-inch painted aluminum wheel on both GT and premium GT is an evolution of the five-spoke design. The 19-inch optional GT wheel comes with a gloss-black finish with machined face for a more sinister look.

The new car also offers mirrors with pony projection light, which casts the image of Mustang’s famous pony emblem on the ground when the unlock button is activated. New colors – Deep Impact Blue and Gotta Have It Green – join the existing sporty colors for 2013.

Also new on V6 and GT are optional leather-trimmed or cloth Recaro® seats that are currently available on the Shelby GT500 and Boss 302. Designed to enhance the high-performance driving experience, lateral bolsters in the cushion and seatback are used to ensure drivers have the support needed on the track during hard cornering and to deliver a comfortable ride.

The seats also come complete with integrated head restraints with ample room for drivers and passengers wearing helmets when at the track. Openings on the seatback are included for customers looking to create performance setups for their car on track days. The Recaro seats are the result of a global team effort led by SVT along with the Mustang engineering group in North America, Team RS in Europe and Recaro.

New driving technologies
The 2013 Mustang with 5.0-liter engine will now deliver 420 horsepower. Based on learnings from developing the high-output 444-horsepower Mustang Boss 302, the team was able to adapt several of the designs to the 5.0-liter.

The new Mustang can be specified with a six-speed SelectShift Automatic^TM transmission. This advanced control strategy offers the driver a choice between fully automatic operation and manual control. The system is controlled with a selector button on the side of the shifter. The shifter has been upgraded for 2013 with more modern style and improved accessibility.

“This lets owners take an automatic out on a track day or whenever they want to drive sportier, and lets them have the convenience of switching to manual control,” said Tom Barnes, Mustang vehicle engineering manager. “It’s a significant improvement to our powertrain offerings that lets the driver take control.”

This capability makes the Mustang experience sporty yet smooth. Unlike some competitors’ transmissions, SelectShift won’t second-guess the driver with an override shift. With SelectShift, manual control is truly manually controlled.

A new option, the GT Track Package, debuts for 2013 for customers who want to push their Mustang even further at the track. Available only on manual GT Mustangs with a 3.73 axle, the package gives track enthusiasts an engine cooler, upgraded radiator, performance friction brake pads and the same Torsen® differential that’s on Mustang Boss 302. The package includes everything in the current Brembo^TM Brake Package, with 14-inch vented front discs, unique 19-inch alloy wheels and summer performance tires.

Other optional package updates for 2013 include offering the Brembo Brake Package on both manual and automatic transmissions on Mustang GT. The V6 Performance Package is now available on automatic Mustangs for the first time.

Hill start assist makes its debut on manually equipped Mustangs. This feature helps keep the car from rolling backward, making it easier to pull away when on a slope or hill. With the brake pedal pressed, if sensors detect the car is on a slope, the system is automatically activated. Brake pressure is held in the braking system and the car remains stationary on the slope for up to two seconds after the driver releases the brake pedal.

A new 4.2-inch LCD productivity screen that lets customers access information related to fuel economy and vehicle performance also makes its debut on Mustang. The screen is navigated through a five-way control button located on the steering wheel and offers Track Apps, which delivers performance metrics for drivers right from the factory. The app measures g forces, shows acceleration times in quarter-mile and 0-60 increments, and displays braking times, complete with automatic and countdown starts.

The 2013 Mustang also offers customers two new audio systems for even better sound quality for incredible clarity and crispness. The optional Shaker^TM system comes with eight speakers and pumps out 370 watts of power. The upgraded Shaker Pro offers nine speakers and delivers 550 watts of power.

The 2013 Ford Mustang will be built at AutoAlliance International Plant in Flat Rock, Mich.

31 de octubre del 2011, Auburn Hills, Mich. – Más de 10.000 victorias individuales en carreras, 10 récords mundiales y 133 títulos internacionales son parte de la rica herencia en carreras por tras de la aclamada marca Abarth. De hecho, el éxito en competiciones siempre ha sido uno de los marcos de la historia de Abarth, y es tan importante ahora como cuando Karl Abarth fundó ‘Abarth & C’ más de 60 años atrás, en 1949.

2011 SEMA Show: Toyota Yaris B-Spec Club Racer

CLEVELAND (Oct. 31, 2011)-Quality, dependability and innovation are qualities that can be used to describe any one of American Suzuki Motor Corporation’s (ASMC) three exceptional divisions – Automobile, Motorcycle/ATV and Marine – and their respective product offerings. At the 2011 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas, students at Ohio Technical College (OTC) have used a 2012 Suzuki Grand Vitara as a canvas to highlight two of Suzuki’s popular brands with its head-turning, nautical-inspired Grand Vitara Marine Concept, which will be displayed at OTC’s show exhibit, #38149 in the Upper Level of South Hall at the Las Vegas Convention Center from Nov. 1-4.

2011 SEMA Show: Long Beach Racers Tacoma

Currently starring in MTV’s Nitro Circus, Andy will be available to talk about this special Tacoma race truck and the upcoming BAJA 1000 at a press conference that will take place at the Toyota exhibit on Nov. 1 at 10 a.m. Pacific Time.

The race truck is a grassroots effort of Long Beach Racers, a group of Toyota enthusiasts who specialize in racing Toyota trucks in Baja. The truck is currently in contention for the SCORE Stock Mini class championship.

Modifications include a TIG welded, SCORE approved roll cage with the Long Beach Racers trademark “low profile” rear cage design to keep the rear view clean, custom Bilstein 60mm race shocks, 35-inch BFGoodrich Project Tires on 16-inch TRD Baja Series wheels, Hella HID lights on custom mounts on the bumper and in place of the exterior mirrors, PCI Race Radio and intercom systems, Mastercraft race seats, harnesses and window nets, Defined Engineering Spring-Under kit, CMI Carbon Fiber skidplates, MBRP Exhaust system, 50 gallon fuel cell, TRD Big Brake kit, and a custom wrap that incorporates the TX Baja Series graphic concept.

In addition to competing at the BAJA 1000, the Long Beach Racers Tacoma can also be expected at the Off Road Expo, Supercross, Dew Tour, and 2012 SCORE races.

En primer lugar, el Chrysler 300 SF6 se basa en el 300 y cuenta con una bobina más de suspensión, una toma de aire frío y un motor V8 HEMI de 5.7 litros. En el interior, hay asientos de cuero Katzkin.

El Dodge Challenger SRT8 ACR tiene apoyos torre del puntal, una palanca de cambios de tiro corto y llantas Goodyear. Otros regalos incluyen un sistema de escape cat-back, un volante de fondo plano, de fibra de carbono, llantas de aleación de 20 pulgadas.

Para el gancho de remolque, el Dodge Durango, los ingenieros instalaron una parrilla en negro, una suspensión más baja y deportiva junto con llantas de 22 pulgadas calzado neumáticos Pirelli. En el interior, la cabina tiene asientos de cuero Katzkin, pedales de aluminio negro y embellecedores cromados.

Para la calle, la pick-up RAM 392 Quick Silver que tiene una entrada de consumo de aire frío, un sistema de escape deportivo y un motor V8 HEMI de 470 CV (350 kW / PS 477). Otros puntos destacados incluyen un capó de aluminio, un kit de carrocería Mopar y los frenos Brembo.

Por último, habrá dos Fiat 500.

Como las fotos espía anteriores han mostrado, el modelo contará con un kit de carrocería agresiva, una parrilla revisada y un sistema de escape de cuatro tubos. También podemos esperar una suspensión deportiva, frenos más robustos y por supuesto, todo lo que AMG representa.

El poder probablemente será proporcionado por un motor doble-turbo de 5.5 litros V8 con 525 CV (386 kW / CV 518) y 700 Nm (516 lb-pie) de torque. Sin embargo, un paquete de prestaciones opcionales puede aumentar esas cifras a 557 CV (410 kW / CV 550) y 800 Nm (590 lb-pie) de torque.

Chevrolet también va a traer el Sonic Z-Spec concepto 4D, basado en el sedán de Sonic – un concepto de coche que viajaba con una cenicienta exterior Gris metalizado y un acabado interior en titanio oscuro con detalles en rojo cobalto.

El “Anochecer” del Chevrolet Sonic es el más sutil de los cuatro  modelosque se verán en el SEMA, viene en Berlín azul con ruedas de plata oscuro y un interior de cuero Mojave.

Chevrolet Small Cars Go Big at SEMA
LAS VEGAS – Chevrolet’s small cars have a big presence at the 2011 SEMA Show, with tricked-out Sonics and Cruzes showing off the personalization possibilities for a new generation of performance enthusiasts.

Most of the show cars wear conceptual Z-Spec styling enhancements, which are being evaluated for production. Z-Spec is a line of performance, styling, and personalization accessories available at Chevy dealerships.

The Sonic went on sale this fall and the Cruze, while being in the U.S. market for only about a year, has become Chevrolet’s best-selling car and the top-selling compact car in the United States calendar year to date. Both cars offer available factory turbocharged powertrains – with the Sonic offering the only turbo engine in its class.

“The heritage of Chevrolet cars like the Corvette and Camaro is being expressed in smaller packages for the next generation,” said Chris Perry, vice president, global marketing and strategy for Chevrolet. “The Sonic and Cruze concepts demonstrate that performance comes in all shapes, sizes and displacements at Chevrolet.”

As the only factory turbocharged vehicle in its class and aggressive design, Sonic is ideal for customization and performance – and that’s exactly what the distinctive show cars demonstrate at SEMA. Here’s a quick look:

Sonic Z-Spec #1 – Designers took a turbocharged Sonic five-door and dressed it with concept Z-Spec accessories. They added Z-Spec ground effects, a spoiler, unique grille and graphics package – then finished it off with a Torch Red exterior and Z-Spec concept 18-inch wheels. Inside, the Cobalt Red cabin features custom trim, including perforated black suede seat inserts, a Z-Spec sport pedal kit, sport shift knob and a racing-style flat-bottom steering wheel. Additional upgrades include performance brakes with four-piston calipers, a new high-flow exhaust system and performance suspension parts.

Sonic Z-Spec #2 – The next Sonic concept – in Flat White with Torch Red accents – builds on concept Z-Spec accessories with a more aggressive ground effects package, unique grille, rear spoiler and graphics package. It rides on Z-Spec concept 18-inch wheels and also includes a re-trimmed interior with Z-Spec sport pedal kit, Z-Spec sport shift knob and a flat-bottom steering wheel. It also features custom racing seats with the Z-Spec logo. The factory powertrain features the 1.4L turbo engine and six-speed manual transmission. Performance upgrades include brakes with four-piston calipers, a high-flow exhaust system and suspension parts.

Sonic Z-Spec 4D Concept – The more formal look of the Sonic sedan lends itself to a touring car-style motif, which this Ashen Grey Metallic concept picks up with concept Z-Spec ground effects, rear spoiler, grille, “Chevrolet” graphics and larger Z-Spec concept 18-inch wheels. As with its five-door counterparts, this Sonic features a re-trimmed interior – in Dark Titanium with Cobalt Red accents – Z-Spec sport pedal kit, aluminum sport shift knob and a flat-bottom steering wheel (trimmed with Cobalt Red suede). The factory turbo 1.4L engine and six-speed manual transmission are complemented by performance upgrades that include four-piston caliper brakes, a high-flow exhaust system and suspension parts.

Sonic Dusk – The most subtle of the Sonic concepts is the Dusk. It features a Berlin Blue exterior, with a mild concept ground effects package, unique grille treatment and 18-inch concept wheels in dark Galvano Silver. Even the lights are tinted blue for a sophisticated statement. The Mojave leather interior has custom seat inserts, Z-Spec shift knob with satin chrome trim, Z-Spec sport pedals and accessory interior trim kit. The Sonic Dusk also features a suede-trimmed, flat-bottom steering wheel, custom audio system and brake and suspension upgrades.

Chevrolet is keeping a few super-secret Sonics under wraps until the SEMA show, each representing an even higher level of performance and personalization.

Cool Cruzes

A pair of custom Cruze sedans demonstrates what is possible with conceptual accessories and a little creativity.

Cruze Z-Spec – Wearing concept Z-Spec ground effects, 18-inch custom wheels, an accessory spoiler and a high-flow grille, the Cruze Z-Spec has the looks and feel of a taut touring car. The exterior appearance of this Cruze is enhanced with a new stripe package that will be available soon, while on the inside are special seat inserts, a racing-style pedal kit, accessory shift knob and interior trim, as well as a new steering wheel.

Cruze Dusk – Complementing the Sonic Dusk concept, the Cruze Dusk suggests a more subtle and sophisticated approach to personalization, including a mild concept ground effects package, a unique grille treatment and dark-tinted wheels. The interior has custom seat inserts, along with an accessory shift knob, sport pedals, interior trim kit, a suede-trimmed steering wheel and a custom audio system.

En primer lugar, el Ford Focus tendrá un compresor, un sistema de inducción de alto flujo y un escape doble. El Focus también contará con un exterior de mate con un spoiler delantero y gráficos personalizados.

Si eso no ha despertado su interés, habrá otros seis Ford Focus como un afinado por Racing Capaldi (ver renderización – foto). Contará con una suspensión deportiva y un diferencial de Ford Racing.

Además, habrá tres Fiestas Ford como uno de Gold Coast Automotive. Diseñado para destacar el potencial deportivo del vehículo, que estará equipado con un supercargador, frenos Wilwood y un kit de 3dCarbon cuerpo.

Ford también presentará un motor stroker y una parte de  su gama clásica a modo de restauración con licencia oficial – probablemente un chasis – para el Mustang 1964-1966.

Desarrollado en colaboración con Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Berlín, el roadster de edición especial es el primer vehículo de producción de porcelana que le da uso en su interior y diseño exterior.

La potencia proviene de un motor de cuatro-turbos sobre el motor de 8.0 litros con dieciséis cilindros que genera 1.001 CV (736 kW / CV 987) y 1.250 Nm (922 lb-pie) de torque. No hay palabra si el aumento de peso ha afectado al rendimiento, pero el modelo estándar tiene una velocidad máxima de 407 km / h (252 mph).

No está claro si el coche ha sido vendido, pero el precio original fue de 1,65 millones de Euros.

SsangYong ha presentado en silencio el SUT-1 en Frankfurt.

Como fueron previstas por el concepto, el modelo de producción tiene un estilo vanguardista, con una fascia delantera grande y una línea de carácter ascendente hacia atrás.

La cabina de cinco plazas es bastante dura, pero las opciones incluyen asientos de piel con calefacción, conexión Bluetooth y un techo deslizante.

La potencia proviene de un motor diesel de 2.0 litros con 155 CV (114 kW / CV 153) y 360 Nm (266 lb-pie) de torque. Está conectado a una transmisión de seis velocidades y tracción total es opcional.

Recientemente presentado en el Salón del Automóvil de Frankfurt, la edición final fue creada con la ayuda de Sieger. Como tal, el coche está disponible en 18 colores y cuenta con un interior a medida con piel de primera calidad y acabado cromado.

La potencia proviene de un motor de 3.2 litros de seis cilindros que desarrolla 343 CV (252 kW / CV 338) y 365 Nm (269 lb-pie) de torque. Se puede combinar con un cambio manual de cinco o seis velocidades, así como un SMG opcional de seis velocidades. Con la caja de cambios de este último, el roadster acelera de 0-100 km / h en 4,9 segundos y alcanza una velocidad máxima de 255 km / h (158 mph).

Construido para ver la dirección de la empresa a un nuevo estilo, el Evo es un cupé de cuatro puertas con una fascia delantera agresiva, una parrilla prominente y los faros LED. En la parte trasera, hay un tubo de escape montado en el centro, un difusor trasero y luces traseras deportivas distintivas.

La cabina de la era espacial tiene cuatro asientos individuales y un avanzado sistema de información y entretenimiento que “lo llega a distinguir.”

Bajo el capó, el ??tren motriz está prorrogado del Energi C-MAX. Las especificaciones no fueron puestos en libertad, pero el Energi tiene un motor de gasolina de 2.0 litros, un motor eléctrico y una batería de litio-ion.

Listo para ser lanzado a finales del año próximo, el modelo se distingue por un capó con ventilación, una parrilla revisada y más detalles en fibra de carbono.

Como hemos informado anteriormente, el coche tiene un 53 kWh de litio-ion que envía la potencia a cuatro motores eléctricos que producen 313 CV (230 kW / CV 308) y 4.500 Nm (3,319 libras-pie) de torque.

Esto permite que el R8 acelere de 0-100 km / h en 4,8 segundos y recorrer hasta 250 km (155 millas) con una sola carga.

El S8 es impulsado por un motor de 4.0 litros TFSI de doble turbo V8 configurado para entregar 520 CV (382 kW / CV 513) y 650 Nm de par máximo (479,42 libras-pie). La transmisión es de 8 velocidades Tiptronic – y caja de cambios de conjunto permite que el S8 tener una aceleración de 0 a 100 km / h (62 mph) de velocidad en sólo 4,2 segundos. La velocidad máxima en la unidad S8 (Quattro) en las cuatro ruedas está limitada electrónicamente a 250 km / h (155 mph).

Audi también adapta su tecnología de desactivación de cilindros para el S8, que le ayuda a alcanzar una cifra de economía de combustible de 10,2 litros/100 km.

El S8 también cuenta con una suspensión neumática adaptativa con amortiguación variable. Las ruedas estándar son las 9J x 20 pulgadas con llantas 265/40R20, mientras que para el quatro se ofrecen  llantas de 21 pulgadas, como opción.

En el interior, el buque insignia de la gama deportiva-confort cuenta con asientos diseñados específicamente para el S8, mientras que una variedad de acabados exuberantes están disponibles.

El coche cuenta con una nueva tecnología como el sistema de estacionamiento de 360 grados con cuatro cámaras que dan un punto de vista alrededor del coche, mientras que un equipo empalman dichas imágenes junto al conductor en la pantalla.

El Maserati GranCabrio Fendi viene con un exclusivo acabado a medida creado por la casa de moda italiana. El coche tiene un color de la carrocería de 3 capas, denominada Grigio Fiamma Fendi (Flaming Gris Fendi), que cuenta con toques de oro en su superficie.

Dentro hay un corte de madera en pergamena Fendi (color amarillo) en el salpicadero, puertas y pomo del cambio, complementado con las pinzas de freno de color amarillo y la insignia de Maserati en los reposacabezas. El logotipo de Fendi (un doble ‘F’) se sutura en los asientos y también se ofrece en las ruedas de 20 pulgadas.

Cuoio Romano (Roman de cuero) se utiliza para detallar el panel de instrumentos, palanca de cambios y el Travel Limited Edition Set  y accesorios que se ofrecen con el GranCabrio Fendi.

El concepto de sedán deportivo del fabricante coreano hará su debut en el Salón de Frankfurt el mes que viene.

Las imágenes muestran muchos detalles, sin embargo, y lo que vemos parece un Audi A7 de cuatro puertas, coupé deportivo con unas líneas gruesas, a veces en forma de caja. Nos atrevemos a decir que la silueta se asemeja al concepto de Lamborghini Estoque.

De acuerdo con informes anteriores, Kia afirma que el concepto es un sedán de tracción trasera con el que el fabricante de automóviles quiere abrir un “nuevo capítulo” en su historia, pero es difícil ver si este coche va a llegar a la producción en el corto plazo.

Sin embargo, esperamos más detalles de este concepto, ciertamente es intrigante.

La publicación “Car and Driver” informa que el coche se va a montar en una nueva plataforma que comparte con el Ford Mondeo. Además, el MKZ adoptará un diseño evolutivo del que se espera que mire hacia algo un poco más elegante.

Las opciones del motor siguen teniendo un poco un misterio, pero es probable que las opciones incluyan un motor turbo de cuatro cilindros, un híbrido de cuatro cilindros y un V6.

Lamentablemente, con tracción delantera, pero la tracción en todas las ruedas debe ser opcional.

La información es escasa, pero la publicación What Car dice que el modelo se basa en el Karma y cuenta con el estilo deportivo como principal característica. Según se informa, se pondrá en marcha el próximo año.

En 2013, la compañía tiene previsto introducir el modelo convertible Karma S. Este último modelo se inspira en el concepto de que debutó en el 2009 en el Salón North American International  y que cuentan con un techo rígido plegable retráctil.

La compañía está manteniendo mucho silencio en los detalles, pero dio a entender que podemos esperar un “concepto nuevo con un diseño importante” y “algunos detalles de los Focus de su próxima generación.”

Esto parece implicar a Ford para presentar el Focus ST, que está previsto que cuente con un motor EcoBoost de 2.0 litros con 250 CV (184 kW / CV 247) y 360 Nm (265 lb-pie) de torque.

El debut de los otros modelos que presentará el fabricante americano sigue siendo un misterio, pero el teaser sugiere que podemos esperar algo deportivo.

Mazda tiene pensado llevar la actualización del Mazda3, que contará con motores con tecnología SkyActiv y un diseño más deportivo que su predecesor.

Si bien la carrocería de los nuevos modelos Mazda3 han cambiado un poco, los cambios más aparentes se centran en su morro más afilado gracias al empleo de nuevos paragolpes, y diseño de llantas y colores actualizados.

En cuanto a las variaciones motrices, poca información, uno modelo gasolina y otro diésel, en ambos casos con dos niveles de potencia diferentes. Mientras que los primeros tendrán dos litros mientras que los segundos 2,2 litros. Destacarán por prestaciones y sobre todo consumos, bastante más bajos que en la gama actual.

La bestia australiana de Negro utiliza el motor 5.0 litros V8 que produce hasta el momento tanto como 449 caballos de fuerza (335 kW / PS 455), y hasta 570 Nm (420 libras-pie) de torque. Detalles acerca de la transmisión y los tiempos de carrera no fueron revelados por el preparador.

“Tomando nuestro icónico GT FPV, hemos elaborado un paquete de mejoras en el rendimiento y el diseño para demostrar qué se puede hacer por FPV en el futuro”, dijo desde Ford Performance el gerente general Rod Barrett en un comunicado de prensa.

Para darle un toque deportivo, el coche se encuentra en llantas de aleación ligera forjadas a medida 19×8 delante y 19×9.5 pulgadas en la parte trasera. Calzado con neumáticos Dunlop SP Sportmaxx GT.

Además de estar el nuevo modelo conocido como Cobalt Concept, Chevrolet se ha sorprendido con esta primicia mundial al Salón de Buenos Aires el Colorado Rally Concept, una versión deportiva más robusta de lo que será su próximo pickup.

De igual forma que su anterior modelo conceptual, el Colorado Rally tiene cuatro puertas.

Un off road con fuerza que dispone de una jaula antivuelco, dos cabestrantes integrados en el propio paragolpes, un sistema de renovación rápida del aire en cabina, y una suspensión todoterreno.

La empresa ha comunicado su deseo de acercar al cliente tradicional de coches usados el vehículo compartido y centrarse en las ventajas que ofrece este tipo de servicio para los conductores que realizan menos de 15.000 kilómetros al año, así como para los conductores que no tienen coche en propiedad o los emprendedores que buscan prescindir de una flota de coches permanente en su compañía.

HelloByeCars expresó que por cada vehículo de ‘carsharing’ desaparecen 20 coches en la ciudad, lo que supone una disminución de 1.900 kilómetros por persona y año, que se producen, principalmente, en las operaciones de búsqueda de aparcamiento en la calle. Además, también reduce un 60% las emisiones de CO2 a la atmósfera por cliente y año, hasta 300 kilogramos.
